We booked Wolf Atelier as part of Amsterdam Restaurant week, a 5-course Chefs dinner on a budget! Whats not to like about that...
We had heard good reviews through colleagues about this place, and casually spotted it on a canal cruise with friends, vouching to add it to our list of must-visits!
The location is Stunningly Brooklyn-esque and industrial. The restaurant itself is in a glass building on a 1920 rail-road bridge, with views of the IJ (Amsterdam's waterfront). "Atelier" seems fittingly appropriate when described as a workshop or studio, Wolf Atelier certainly has that artistic aesthetic.

On arrival, we were seated and pleasantly surprised with a wooden box per person at our table. A delightful little arrival "gift" with pre-dining necessities. We started by ordering the specials aperitif cocktail ( Cointreau, cherry liqueur, gin and Moscato wine). Brought to our table with a side of homemade bread, butter and oils.

Opting for the wine pairing throughout our meal at only €20pp. We also ordered Oysters & Pata Negra in addition to the set menu, both a real delight. I am a sucker for an Oyster with the aperitif!
We won't disclose all of our photography from this experience as we want you to enjoy the surprise for yourself. But we will say that the side dish served with the amuse-bouche was seriously tasty...From the dishes to follow, the stand out course was the first course. Stunning porkbelly with Hamachi and a concoction of jalapeno, lime and cucumber to dress. Seriously delicious! Another refreshingly great addition to course 3 was the eel. Small and delicate, but an interesting flavour combination and we loved it ! The meal was impressive, the only thing we would have changed (if we had the option) would be to serve the dessert pudding warm. Maybe a personal preference but we found this let the final dish down slightly.
Ultimately, we found the menu full of flavour-pops, interestingly delicate and really artistically presented.

What a wonderful evening - Fabulous setting, artistically dressed plates, with playful combinations of flavours in the dishes and extremely hospitable staff.
We look forward to returning!
Thank you Wolf Atelier, Michael Wolf & team!
