A Michelin Star restaurant, 16/20 Gault Millau, and Speakeasy!
We were so excited about our date night at Graphite, and the evening started with a mysterious entry via our own QR Code on a quiet central backstreet...Imagine our surprise when we found what looked like a derelict building, disguised as a Michelin* restaurant!
The Vibe of the restaurant is dark and club-like due to the bass beat of the music, without the overpopulated floors!
Starting the evening in the entrance bar, you can select from an array of liquors, wines and cocktails, all on show for your own visible menu of bottles.
We were then led into the dim-lit, glam restaurant dressed with spacious circular tables - No photos are allowed of the restaurant itself ( only photography of the plates themselves) which lends to the mysterious speakeasy vibe that we loved so much!

The menus range from 8 to 20 courses, prepared by Chef Peter Gast (of Michelin * restaurant 't Schulten Hues in Zutphen, Netherlands) and team. They delivered a modern array of courses combining inventive displays and technically exquisite flavours. Dishes were presented with touches of scented herbs and decorative flowers, fine in detail. Although each menu is a surprise... from ours, we personally loved the succulent Pork Belly, pairing of the Lobster with light foam and the citrus and herb jus intertwined in our varying courses. The impeccable service, stunning setting and intricate dishes resulted in a perfectly romantic evening in one of Amsterdam's most secluded and mysterious Michelin restaurants.

Thank you Chef Peter Gast & Team for the most stunning experience!
Although the restaurants are currently closed due to lockdown measures in Amsterdam, we anticipate your gloriously successful return and can't wait to hopefully visit you again very soon!
